Many suppliers are not able to inform about resort fees in a structured way through their API, but send this information in the remarks (due to third party also providing this information this way or due to system limitations). When the client makes a booking, not all of them read the remarks carefully resulting in bad customer experience when arriving at the hotel and even refusing to pay any fees.
As Travelgate handles so many searches from so many different sources that it would be possible to associate resort fees and taxes to the different properties using as a source those suppliers who are able to provide this information through a tag in their API or through the TGX extranet.
It would be very useful if Travelgate was able to be a unique source and provide this information where a supplier is unable to do so.
